Veterans Services

We are delighted to be able to service the hearing health needs of the veterans in our local community under the VA Community Care program.  Veterans may receive services, hearing aids, repairs and accessories in our office on Lady’s Island fully covered by the VA.

You may be eligible for VA Community Care if you live 40+ miles from the VA Center in Savannah or Charleston or if there are significant delays to receive care at one of those facilities.  To see a Community Care provider, you must first receive prior authorization.

To obtain authorization, you will need to do the following:

  1. Visit the VA clinic at Beaufort Naval Hospital and inform them that you would like to receive treatment at Beaufort Audiology & Hearing Care through the Community Care program.  The provider there will then submit a request for authorization to the Community Care office in Charleston.
  2. The clinic may first refer you to another clinic for a disability evaluation if you have not already had one.
  3. Authorization for your care will be faxed to us, and we will contact you to schedule an appointment.  When contacted for your appointment, verify with the scheduler that the appointment is with Beaufort Audiology & Hearing Care.  If they reference a different provider, you can contact the VA to express your preference to see us instead.

Thank you for your service and we hope to see you in the near future!
